In Fryslân, a growing group of companies, citizens, governments and schools is working on the topic of the circular economy. Circular economy is about the reuse of materials. Waste = raw material and the reduction of waste through smart design. To actually make the transition to a circular economy, we need everyone and each other. Companies need to think about how they use less or sustainable raw materials when making their products. Schools and other educational institutions have the task of paying as much attention as possible to sustainability in education. Governments are standing at the bar to support the process with policy and regulations. And finally, there is an important role for us: you and I as individuals determine through our daily choices whether we make the step towards a circular economy. Because of what we buy or don't buy. Because of what we throw away or keep and reuse.

Develop a concrete action or intervention that a Frisian company, school, government or individual can work with to bring the circular economy one step closer.
Together we have a dream in Fryslân: we want to ensure that waste no longer exists. That everything has value and preservation. How do we ensure that the last waste bin of Fryslân will be in the Frisian Museum in 20 years' time? What needs to happen to make that dream come true? What can we do in the short and long term?
